DTF
Printing
DTF (Direct to Film) printing is a modern transfer technique where a design is printed onto a special PET film, coated with a hot-melt adhesive powder, then heat-pressed onto the garment. Unlike screen printing, DTF isn't limited by fabric type or color count, making it ideal for detailed, multi-color, or gradient designs on cotton, polyester, blends, and even dark or textured fabrics where other methods struggle.
Production Workflow
Phase 01
Design Printing
The artwork is printed in reverse onto a specialized PET film using a DTF printer with pigment inks.
Phase 02
Powder Application
A hot-melt adhesive powder is applied evenly over the printed film while the ink is still wet, then excess powder is shaken off
Phase 03
Curing
The powdered film passes through a curing oven or heat unit, melting the adhesive powder into a stable transfer layer.
Phase 04
Heat Press Transfer
he cured film is placed onto the garment and pressed using a heat press at controlled temperature and pressure.
Phase 05
Peel & Finish
The film backing is peeled away (cold or hot peel depending on the film type), revealing the finished full-color design bonded to the fabric.
